This shoot with Antoine & Cyrielle almost didn’t happen. The weather at Muriwai was looking rough, heavy clouds, strong wind, and it felt like rain could start at any moment. But they were both keen to go ahead anyway, especially after getting fresh haircuts just for the shoot. And honestly, I’m glad we did.

They were such a relaxed couple to work with, and that made everything feel easy right from the start. We walked along the beach, dealing with the wind and the changing light, but it actually added to the whole vibe of the shoot. Muriwai on a cloudy day has a completely different feel, a bit more raw and dramatic, and it suited them perfectly.

At one point it looked like the rain was finally going to hit, but we managed to get everything we needed just in time. Those kinds of conditions usually feel like a risk going in, but they often end up creating something a bit more unique.

This was definitely one of those shoots.
